Projects in Xenarius
Apps powered by Xenarius are defined within XAPP configuration files. These files contain the platform-agnostic description of the app, including its views, data providers and handler functions. Links between screen elements and data provider items are defined by using data bindings.
The Xenarius Player reads a XAPP file and uses it to generate application screens, connect to data and execute business logic. One can liken it to a document viewer where documents are XAPP files with app definitions.
An application description can also specify that a certain navigation type should be used in a particular device. For instance, the same application launched on a phone can use the Slideout navigation, while on the iPad, it can have the Split layout.
To create a new project, go to the Xenarius main menu and click Create Project.
To rename an opened project, open the Application Options page and change the Title property.
To delete a project, go to the Xenarius main menu, select the required project in the list of projects and click the Delete button next to it.
Importing and Exporting Projects
To export a project, go to the Xenarius main menu, select the required project in the list of projects and click the Export button next to it. Your browser will download a XAPP file with the application.
To import a project, go to the Xenarius main menu, click Import Project and browse for the XAPP file to import.
